Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal

Here is an easy recipe for Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal.  You can easily substitute the apples & cinnamon for your favorite fruit; whether it be strawberries, bananas, peaches or blueberries.  This is a great way to add flavor to regular oatmeal without the extra sugar and other stuff in store bought flavored oatmeal.

This is a great, clean meal for your high carb day.  You can easily adjust the portions of the oatmeal and fruit to meet your macro-nutrient requirements.


  • Plain Quick Oatmeal – 1 cup
  • Medium Apple
  • Cinnamon sprinkled to taste


Add oatmeal and water to a bowl as per the oatmeal’s instructions.  Chop up the apple and add to the bowl.  Sprinkle some cinnamon on top and mix well.  Microwave as directed (about 2 minutes).  Remove from microwave and taste it.  Add more cinnamon and/or water to reach your preferred consistency and taste.  Cook for another minute if needed.
